Meet the Team Leader/Owner

Allow me to take a moment to share some insight into my professional journey and the vision behind my business, Living While Aging.

I recently marked 30 years as a registered nurse, a significant milestone in a career dedicated to caregiving and compassion. Over the course of these three decades, my greatest personal achievements include raising two remarkable children, welcoming two more children by marriage (along with a devoted husband), and embracing the joy of being a grandmother to two grandsons, with a future son-in-law and a daughter-in-law soon joining our family.

My professional career began on the orthopedic/pediatric floor at St. Nicholas Hospital. After one year in that role, I transitioned to home health and hospice care—a shift that became my enduring focus. Providing care in the home setting gave me a profound sense of purpose and connection. During this time, I pursued and achieved my master’s degree in nursing education, enabling me to inspire and mentor countless nursing students, all while maintaining my commitment to home health and hospice care. In 2018, I earned my doctoral degree with an emphasis on leadership and palliative care, further broadening my expertise. This academic achievement led me to briefly step into hospital administration, where I discovered a passion for empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential. Later, I relocated to Michigan to develop and establish an RN-BSN program at what is now a university—a rewarding endeavor that allowed me to shape the next generation of nursing professionals. Throughout these various roles, my dedication to home health and hospice care remained steadfast, complementing my professional growth. Upon returning to Wisconsin at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, I expanded my experience into oncology nursing, a field requiring immense resilience and commitment. Today, I have come full circle, resuming my role in home health care—right where my journey began. I often say, every great story ends where it all started.

In February of this year, I embarked on an exciting new chapter by founding my own professional caregiver and personal care business. Over the past six months, I have had the privilege of assembling a team of dedicated professionals who share a deep commitment to delivering exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of each client. Together, we have provided services that allow individuals to remain safely and comfortably in their homes. I am immensely proud of the team’s unwavering dedication to excellence and the profound impact they have made on the lives of our clients. It is an honor to lead such an exceptional group of caregivers.
